DS originally came with a Valentina Database for the CMS , but now you have the option of using the postgreSQL cms which is the newer option.

and on this note do we know if we need to use the Transfer script when installing a fresh copy of DS 4.6.3.52? Also does anyone know if Valentina will be phased out?

PostgreSQL just runs when DS is running - contrary to Valentina, which is running the whole time.
PostgreSQL seems to be faster when using the SmartContent (I don't use Smartcontent ... I just read it).
You can uninstall Valentina if you don't use Carrara.

Thanks! I use Poser exclusively, so I guess I don't need this.
    Thanks again, AD

Can a CV/Admin get clarification for my question above or should ask Technical direct?

Valentina is needed at the moment for those who use Carrara.

OK Pete I know that is not an answer, but ................... Maybe we will Know more when Carrara gets it's next update.
