FMEC Texturing Question

NathanomirNathanomir Posts: 125

I'm making a set of words for a website using Font to Mesh Express Converter. The words look great, but I can't seem to apply a texture to them. I need them to be either stone or metal, not not just colored.

Well, let me rephrase that. The words DO take a texture, but it's all out of whack.

I imported one of the words into Hexagon, to make sure it had a UV map. It does, but it is impossible to apply a new one or straighten out the old one.

Am I doing something wrong, or does FMEC words not take textures?

Your best bet is to use a seamless texture, and not a mapped one. There are plenty of them out there, including a multitude of freebies to be had from a variety of sites. One I highly recommend being ShareCG.com.
