"Could not find geometry definition" that exists

BBlogoBBlogo Posts: 54

I'm experimenting really weird problems sometimes when a save a figure asset. The saving is OK, in the menu for saving the figure I chose an asset directory that is added in the content directory, set a vendor, product and item name, write every asset definitions and OK.
But when I load from the library the saved figure, a big polygon loads instead and when I check the log file it says for example that :

Could not find geometry definition: /data/saved/Pants_AD/pants020409_6473.dsf#geometry.

The only problem is that the path and file really exists and was created on the disk.

So how can DS can not find a file that exists ??

Thanks for the help.

Sometimes it just depends on where the data is placed regarding your content directory. You may have to move the data folder (including subfolders) created to the the root of a content library folder. It must be placed at the root of a mapped content directory. (you have all the content directories accessible from the content directory manager, keyboard F2 on a PC).
Other choice, still in the content directory manager, add as in the DAZ studio category the folder containing your data folder (data must be directly in this folder not in a subfolder).

OK, problem is solved. It was a conflict between the two assets directory I have, one for Genesis and another for Genesis 2. It appears that the same data path and file i have chosen was already in the Genesis directory. So I deleted the old data content and now everything is fine.
