I maybe wrong but I cannot see anyone able to answer that as it depends on the scene, the lighting solution used and quality settings. Both can do interiors though Vue was designed for landscapes but does have capabilities to do interior scenes. IMHO Carrara is an all rounder though I use Vue more than Carrara.

Render speed ultimately depends on a combination of what's in the scene, render settings, and your computer's processing power and memory.

You may also take a look at the thread "Carrara vs Vue vs Bryce vs ?"

but the answer was Carrara, as usual.

Bryce does not appear to be in development any longer. it's been feeding pigeons in the park with Hexagon

Not to mention Bryce is strictly a 32 bit app. Vue has a 64 bit version and IIRC so does C8.5.

If it's speed you're after, Carrara's the only one of those that currently has a plugin for Octane... Just saying.

yeah but you need a tonne a Vram for big scenes to get the best out of that speed.

All depends on how big the textures are, and that's something that varies wildly from vendor to vendor.
Stonemason, for example is super efficient. "Urban Sprawl 2" in it's entirety only uses 195MB VRAM!

Good point. Yeah super efficient modeller too. Not bad for a big set, thanks for that info.

I picked up Vue Complete a little while back and for me, render times are not as important as the final output of the render, and I'm liking what I'm seeing with Vue. I've had carrara for years.
