D/S 4.6 won't open

For two days I haven't been able to open my DAZ Studio 4.6. The splash screen appears, and just sits there, with a little message in the lower left corner that says "Connecting to CMS..."

And it sits there and it sits there.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Hmm... and all of a sudden my DAZ Install Manager doesn't work, either.

    I had this happen to me quite a while ago. I did find a solution, and I'm pretty sure it had to do with a corrupt database. I'm just trying to find the info I was given....will be back shortly! :D

    Ok I'm pretty sure this is what I did:


    Uninstall CMS.

    go to ProgramData/DAZ3d/content management service

    delete files in "databases" folder (AFTER unisntalling CMS)

    Reinstall CMS, reimport metadata.
