Few questions about folders & content ?

My genesis1 stuff is at
\Users\RorrKonn\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\People\Genesis\Characters

My genesis2 stuff is at
\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People

I used the downloader manager .
but I would rather everything be in the same place.
Can we make are own place ,for example ,desktop/DAZ ?

I have barefoot dancer and ya can fine the building in environments

I got http://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-warrior-bundle.
but I don't see building 19 in environments or props.
so where is the building 19 at ?

    You can put your content anywhere you like, actually. However, your content manager database will need to be rebuilt after relocating your stuff, so DAZ Studio will know where to find it. You must also ensure that the proper folder structure is maintained, especially when combining locations. Once done, you will need to remember to configure DIM to point to your new location for any new content, or it will place everything in the original default locations.

    Are you sure there isn't a second copy of your Genesis 1 content alongside the Genesis 2 content? The first location is the default that was used before DIM was introduced, the second location is the DIM default. If you re-installed everything using DIM, without changing the default, then the Genesis 1 and 2 content should all be together. The reason I'm asking is that if you have Genesis 1 installed in two places, it might cause problems.

    I don't see any copies but if I reinstall with DIM there might be 2 copy's then.
    do I just delete \DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\People\Genesis\Characters ?

    Are you sure you installed Genesis 1 using DIM? If you did, you should uninstall it using DIM and make sure it's re-installing to the DIM default location.

    Oh ,I'm not sure of anything ,but in the DIM installed there's only G2 and V6.
    So I am going to guess I did not use DIM to get the DAZ Studio that came with G1 & V5,M5.

    but if it wasn't DIM then I guessing it all loaded automatically from zip.

    Or they may have been the older executable installers. DIM uses a different default location from the old installers in order to avoid issues with files that were already installed - merging the two folder could cause problems later. If you uninstall the non-DIM items in the My Library folder and reinstall with DIM to My DAZ 3D Library you willa void that, and will also get notifications of updates. If you don't want to do that then it is safest to keep the two directories separate.
