Liquid Halo Remix/Modern Ninja Blades Questions
Very tempted to get this, now it's been updated. Those who have it, can you reveal whether the metal prop for the back of the head can be removed or hidden?
I'm thinking the basic suit for the torso would be excellent for placing under, say, Midnight Stories' Mars Explorer kit, as the detailing for that included hood is amazing, but can't tell if the metal head prop would be likely to go through the ME helmet or not. Same goes for pairing it with SMay's/Velemudr's Sci-Fi Helmet Kit.
Also, can anyone who has Velemudr's Modern Ninja Blades set confirm whether it also auto-fits to G2F? It's apparently designed for G2M, but looks like it would be perfect for a female assassin render. I'd also like to know if the Super Hero Equipment can auto-fit to G2F, too, because her suit could do with some combat equipment.
Of course, if anyone's making any wrist/forearm-mounted blade products G2F can handle, I'd be interested in general. I've a need for them in a couple of art projects.

For the Uzilite set, the head gear ear parts can be made invisible via the opacity slider in the suface tab. See image below. It is a great set by the way. Love the little bot.

Excellent, thank you! I'm guessing those lumps in the head cloth are to do with the hidden device?
Shall definitely be getting a copy, now I know this can be done.
Uh, so long as I can find some compatible legwear, of course... She looks a bit exposed. ;) Maybe the trousers from Streetwear's Rogue Sci-Fi Suit, if it doesn't intersect. The torso section looks like a great fit for a futuristic commercial pilot, though.
For the record, the set works really nice, even on G2M, too. :-)
Although, it's quite... skimpy for a guy.
As for the blades, they autofit&look; nice, as long as the fingers are not curled. If they curl, they cause distortion.
That jacket is really nice for unisex... Even the torso looks almost natural - the G2M version seems only spoiled by those two salmon-pink straps in the centre (although, on G2F, they seem fine and unobtrusive, for some reason).
As for the blades, that distortion is really sad. G2F needs some 'wearable' blades, most definitely, from the looks of it.
Great example renders!
i've been tossing and turning whether to pick this up...great to see some renders!
Would you mind doing a close up of the crotch/hip area for me? There seems to be something "odd" about the groin area....like there's extra fabric there. I can't work it out and it's catching my eye every time.
Here is one with the 'Complicated Eve' mid section and pants thrown on... (not much finesse this time but they work out of the box pretty well), so if you find your model too leggy, it is something else to try.
@Jakiblu - I'll run one off for you of the hips area if no one else does in the next 5 mins... but yep, there is some extra padding and fabric in that region.
EDIT - And I mean to say, it's a great update to the old set. Lots of really nice detail in the textures and it fits, morphs & renders well. Now if the vendor is reading this, it would be great to see the same for 'Complicated Eve' too....
And for Jakiblu, here are the crotch/hips area blown up and the suit without additions from Complicated Eve. Forgive the render finish... it was just a quick and off the cuff one...
Does that help?
That Complicated Eve set compliments it very well! Is that auto-fitted to G2F?
I'd genuinely like to know which of this vendor's outfits auto-fit to Genesis 1 and 2 without trouble. It's the only thing which has prevented me from ultimately purchasing them.
I like this. Thanks for showing the pants on the figure. Just bought complicated eve and I think this will sell me on it since I can use them together. I agree an update to eve would be awesome.
The only piece of eves that I had trouble auto fitting to gen 2 female we're the boots
I could live with that... Got footwear from other sets which should give a match.
MOS Invasion, Moon Over Saturn, Major Cache and all the New Adventure crew... Can't count the number of times I've wished I knew somene who could confirm auto-fit for them. Same goes for Mighty Mesopholes' Coalition Rapier and Sedition Soldier, too. So many awesome M4/V4 sets I can't risk a gamble on! It's such a shame, because I'm sure they'd all look fantastic with the new HD characters.
Cheers SereneKnight & Xenomorph.
Yep, it was straightforward autofit and afterwards a little tweaking to get it to work with the Liquid halo suit. Complicated Eve is another great set from the same vendor which is useful for diverse scenes or kitbashing, and so is the add-on from Xenic101 for other body types. The 'R' shop on the other side of the street also has a nice texture expansion for Eve too...
As SereneNight said, the boots can be troublesome, but it depends on the scene you have in mind whether you need them.... I can't remember the last time I tried those boots on a G2F... not recently at least.
rapier won't work tried it. Genesis looks good with it. Haven't tried new adventures on gen 2
It's OT, but here are some images of the Coalition Rapier on a G2F... haven't had any problem s with that set on G2M yet either...

SereneKnight, You can always save as a 'wearable' from Genesis and then add to the G2F/M.

I'll try it. Last I did there was some mangling in the neck and shoulder pieces with autofit

Almost had me doubting myself there! ;) Had to go and do a quick fit to a G2F from the Wearable I had saved to recheck... I think I did have problems with the Gorget conflicting with the cloak that I couldn't get around, but the rest seemed to work. Probably because I am using the Ying-Yang texture set and it's all so dark in the scenes with it. Might have to go back and re-investigate too...
You got it. Didn't look too good on g2male's neck. but looks great on genesis. Too bad love the suit.
since a lot of these are full body suits, I just use Frankensteining
joining heads to bodies and that is animating!
Coalition Rapier can even be an empty shell
not everything HAS to be autofitted
LOVE IT!!! A new technical term now learned... thanks wendycatz! ;)
I don't own the product in question, but I rarely have problems when using the g2m/g2f cross figure resource kit to transfer between the two. It works for most transfers with only the occasional issue in the breast area with loose clothing from g2f to g2m and some slight stretching when going from g2m to g2f. It works great on geografted parts as well. It should transfer the blades without problem.
I tried MOS Invasion on Genesis last year, seemed to work.
That looks great. Like the weapon too!
I tried the modern ninja weapons. I didn't spend much time on it, but looks like you'll have to manually place the weapons on the figure.
The blade finger-arm things- for example are simply too big for my female character. The ones on the back distorted when I tried autofit.
Any physical blade can be just parented to the hand, so those shouldn't be a problem, but my initial test didn't go so well with autofit.
I often have to replace and refit weapons to get a better looking grip so you might have to do this with these. I'll play around a bit more later, but that was my quick swipe at the issue.
Can anyone outline this 'save as wearable' process? I've never heard of it.
That's astonishingly good, Bastion! No tweaking required, whatsoever?
Even if it doesn't work for Genesis 2, I can easily populate my scenes with various Genesis 1 soldier characters. Been hoping someone would make something like that for G1 or G2, but nothing, so far.
EDIT: Can anyone verify if this works with the new G2F version? It seems to give her more practical leggings!

genesis 2 cross figure
That's fantastic, thank you.
You can easily change the color of the pads from pink to whatever under -->surface tab--> suit pads by adjusting the diffuse color.
Xenomorphine..
The 'save as a wearable' process (not sure what the formal name is) is simply where you add Genesis into the scene, fit your V4 or M4 clothes onto it, and once done go 'FILE > SAVE AS > WEARABLE' in the main file menu - it'll ask you with a pop-up what you want to save (hair, clothes, etc). Then you add in your Genesis 2 Male or Female to the scene and using the CONTENT LIBRARY navigate to the PRESETS folder, and load your saved wearable.
It's a way of doing 'fit to' from M4 to G2F or avoiding some of the more messy autofit issues going directly to the G2F/M character from M4/V4. As an exercise inspired by SereneNight yesterday, I'm going through and doing this for a lot of the older Mestiphocles/Uzilite/etc sets to re-use on my G2F/M characters.
I'm in the middle of a big render for a client so can't show a sample yet, but had no problems using the above method to get the Liquid Knight clothing onto Genesis and then G2F last night, and then throwing on the DZFire texture pack for Liquid Ice. The liquid knight rifle mats need to be hand done, it only has the plain white that I can find but the rest of it seems to work very nicely with some minor tweaks to the Ambient setting in the materials. Only extra piece of advice I'd give with some of those sets is to hide the body where possible after loading to avoid poke through in extreme poses.
it does help, thank you very much for that!!!
It's really curious, i just can't work out that bit of "extra" fabric. It makes me look straight away at it. Weird.
I'm still tossing up whether to grab this or not...I'm undecided. Does it autofit to other Gen2F shapes well? (olympia, gia, josie blah blah)
