Yesterday I picked up this product Deformers Plus Hat Head but, call me stupid, I can't get it to work whether on Genesis or V4 in DS4.

I am not even sure it is installed right as I can only see it under Poser Format and not under Daz Studio Format in the Content Library.

I am pretty new with DS so I need detailed help!!!!
THANKS

It's a set of Poser magnets, which will load in DS as DForms, so appearing under Poser Formats is right. Make sure you have the hair selected when you load the magnet set.

I still can't make it work. I must be doing something wrong.
I tried with cr2 hair, select it and load the magnet set. Doing it with V4 it load right on target but then nothing I do seems to work. What am I supposed to do ? It looks like the magnet set has no influence on the hair so I must forget to do something.
    Thanks again for your help.

Hmm, I can't get them to work on figure hair either. I was able to get them to work on prop hair by selecting the hair, then going to the DForm pane and clicking the Add Node(s) button and clicking on each of the new magnets (Mag #) at the end of the list (if using Victoria 4 you get the V4 control magnets first, which you don't want).

I use them on figure hair on Genesis figures all the time and they work for me. Three of my characters need them to fit their headgear (two with hats and one with a head-sash and hood), The trick is parent the magnets to the character's head, add the nodes to the hair, and then make your adjustments to the magnets to create the proper shape for the headgear in question, and then make your morph from the Deformers once your satisfied. It does take some practice.

This was with V4, I can get the deformers to work on Genesis figure hair by using Add Node(s).

Well, to be fair, most of the hair I've used Hat Head on has been V4 hair that had been autofitted to Genesis, and in some cases simply parented. This was especially true early on when the only hair sets I had were Generation 4 hair, mostly for V4. It's only relatively recently that I've managed to acquire hair designed for Genesis figures, and even then, some of my characters still require the gen-4 hair because there are no Genesis equivalents (particularly free one). Thus, it really shouldn't matter what base figure you're using, because you only parent the deformers to the figures head. The actual magnet nodes are applied to the hair itself. It's simply a matter of how you align and move the different parts of the deformers to create your morph. It isn't simply a one-step process. It takes more than a bit of finagling. Thus, Applying them to V4 hair should be no different than applying them to Genesis hair.

It should be but it isn't or I'm missing something.
Can't make it work on V4 and figure (cr2) hair.
For example it doesn't do anything on Jade (cr2) hair for V4 if I use V4 but on Genesis the Deformers Plus work using the same Jade hair for V4 through Autofit!

    I don't know. I don't use Gen 4 figures, only Genesis.

All I can say is I have used it on both the free August Hair for V4 and Wasg Hair for V4, as well as the Erato Hair for V4, each parented (but not fit to) a Genesis figure's head—thus retaining their original V4 rigging—and the Deformers worked fine, even with the original rigging.
