PC Membership Confusion

I've bought membership of the PC today and I understood that includes access to a member forum. I do have a link to Members Only in forum drop-down (under Community) but that takes me to my account page, not to a forum.
Another question. I saw a lot of products at $1.99 *before* I paid for membership. I thought perhaps that was an offer for non-members but the PC+ price would be even lower ($0.99 perhaps). Not so - they items were all the same price. I had them in my cart before and after I joined the PC but after I paid for them I was informed that I'd saved piles of cash by being a member. So was the $1.99 a mistake when it appeared for the sale items?

It looks as though your membership hasn't been synchronised with the forums yet. Older PC items are $1.99 newer ones are slightly more expensive.
Looking again today. Still no access to the members forum.

I am haivng the same problem. I cannot access the forum and I am not sure that the PC savings are showing on some of the items in the store
Yes, I don't know if this is how it works but I find that some items only show the savings after you put them in the cart.
the item I was looking at was a hair and the saving did not show even after I went as far as going to pay for it. It just gave me the saving of 10% showing to begin with.
I believe you. As I said initially, I'm confused about the sale prices and the way they are displayed in the site. Sometimes it looks like the general public are being offered the products at PC prices and other times it looks like the PC discount you expect just isn't there.
For example, PC discount for Fashion Hair is supposed to be 58% today (it is listed as a DAZ Original). However, it is showing at 30% discount (the discount for non-PC members) and that remains the same when I put it in the cart. No 58% for this PC+ member. So what did my PC fee buy me?

That's just the shop being messed up again. :-(
It seems to me that DAZ have a history of inventing extremely complex sale conditions. Many of their customers don't understand them to the point where there are threads in the forum which attempt to explain them (don't ask me what all the "punchable" nonsense was about). Also, the web designers can't seem to get the display of prices right or the back-end handling of the shopping cart.
Why can't they just show two prices: normal and PC+ (I'm not sure what the difference between PC and PC+ is either, by the way). That way, people could immediately see how much they would save if they joined and, perhaps, be encouraged to do so
I'm with you on the complicated sales, though you get the bugged sales even with simple sales that turn over during the weekend. It's more a case of "Why do they let the shop change sale unsupervised?".
About the PC/PC+ prices, they differ for the PC-items. Legacy PC members get them for $1.99. (they can't renew as Legacy PC, but will be switched to PC+ if they do so.)
PC+ members (that's everyone who has signed up to PC recently) pay $1.99-$7.99, depending on set (most are $2.99 and $3.99), and an intro discount during the first two weeks.
They are currently working on the shop layout (if you are a PC member, check out the thread in the member area), but I'm not sure if that will take care of the underlying problem of the ssoftware, which causes the sales glitches we are experiencing every day.

Have you tried to log out of your DAZ account and then log back in? That works for me as sometimes even though I am logged in I can't post or access the members' forum. Just a thought.
Yep, several times.
Actually, that's quite another problem. I seem to get logged out at irregular intervals. Sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after a day. I always assume they are updating the website but it gets quite annoying when looking at prices or trying to put something in the cart and you look and you've been logged out without warning.

Must be a bug on your account then as that's never happened to me on DAZ.
I have reported it, but it would be nice if things worked before the sales came to an end. I would like to see the forum and also buy the hair at the right price.
The hair sale is messed up for everyone, one of those Daz things its been 'reported'.
Your lack of access to the members forum seems to be a bug I've seen several posts with the same problem lately.

I LOVED the "check out the forum" comment to someone whose first issue was an inability to access the forum :lol:
I too signed up again for the PC on Friday and sent in a ticket today for not being able to access the Members Only forum despite it showing up as a drop down option [only to be redirected to my account page]. Hopefully they fix it Monday, as I recall the forums are a lot of fun during PC Anniversary Sales [although less fun given it appears the voting seems to have gone the way of the Freaky Beast]

The sales items change prices and seem to gain and lose the PC membership prices a bit randomly. I had a heck of a time getting the Victoria Hair bundle for the correct price.
Today I want the crazy deal number 2 for $2.99 but it will not offer it to me for that price.
EDIT: Now I tried again and it is subtracting $2.99 from the regular price... Oh well hopefully they have it fixed in the morning.

The forum issues are a pain.. I'm hoping they can be sorted out today. If they're not, please drop me a PM and I'll look into it futher.. sorry for the delays and thanks for your patience.
Thanks Jack, I did report it and I am sure others have as well so hopefully it will be sorted out soon. I was certainly able to buy the hair I wanted at the PC price :)
For what it's worth, add me to those who cannot access the Members Only Forum. Subscribed to PC+ Oct. 15, signaled the problem the same day, got a quick response (thanx Crissie), but the problem remains.
If you have IE, have you tried using "In-Private-Browsing" mode?
Strange enough, I've found it to solve log-in problems I had with this site and other sites.... though I'm not sure it is of any use in this particular situation....
Was the response that they are looking into it, or that it's resolved?
