@WendyLuvsCatz Good old Twinmotion eh? Like the changing of the sunlight in the first one. I'm still waiting for my new pc to be built, so can't render in Twinmotion yet.

I'm optimistic for the world getting back to semi-normal as the year progresses. I've had my vaccination a ciouple of days ago, and I'm recovering from the after effects of it.

Nice shader and lighting on the octane video as well.

    Very cool, Wendy! :)

This coming weekend I'm playing an annual concert - a St. Patrick's celebration. With the pandemic being new news to us then, it was our last event of that magnitude.

Funny thing - three years ago, this very concert was the last show that I played my acoustic drums  - having turned to Alesis electronic drums. It feels fitting that this very concert, this year will mark the return of those same acoustic drums. Slaving away refurbishing them :)

"Boom", they say! These things are quite loud after playing a stealth kit for three years! LOL

@Dartanbeck Not an Alesis D4 by any chance? I used to play one of those.

Nope. Mine is the DM10X Mesh, which was their flagship before the Strike Pro. People raged at them dropping the DM10 line, so they put out new DM10 versions that just aren't the same - notably the module, because they sold that to Pearl (Red Box).

Me glammed out at the very place I'm playing tomorrow

When Rosie and I just bought a new crash cymbal for my acoustic kit, they had the new Strike Pro SE Custom set up on the showroom floor. I really want one!!!

@Dartanbeck - Oh very nice! Well enjoy the gig - I envy you - I haven't played live since the first lockdown now - so one year of playing at home only. I mainly play Bass guitar at the moment (a 5 string warwick from the 90s - a classic sound).

Anyway have a great time. :)

Yes, we have to have stipulations in order for us to play a gig during the pandemic. Most people have been good with that - most.

This one is always outside and it's still winter, so it'll be cold. But I'm fine with that! :)

welcome to Dystopia where people waste their real money on intangible things built on a GPU mining economy while basic human interactions  like socialising with others over a meal are lost forever.

Ah but at some point the bitcoin price will crash again, then think of all those lovely GEFORCE RTX 3080's hitting the market as disillusioned miners give up. At least that's my dream.

honestly, i didnt have much of a social life before covid.  i have 1 14yo old cousin who doesnt mind the extra effort of helping steer  me to a table, read the menu to me.

people dont want old people on the street.  they sweep us into closed stuffy rooms called senior citizens centers.  an old person on the street looks like an escapee from the nursing home.  they dont like us going for a walk in the fresh air.  theres no sidewalks where i live, i was walking on the side, not near the center of the road.  a police car stopped and insisted on driving me home.  it was a holy shitte expperience.  i wasnt walking to reach a destination, i was walking to enjoy the fresh 50F air.

If they don't unblock the Suez, all that wood pulp that gets made into TP might not get made into TP.  https://www.businessinsider.com/toilet-paper-coffee-products-delayed-suez-canal-blockage-impact-2021-3?r=US&IR=T

I'm good, still working on last year's supply!  laugh  Silene
