fonts needed

edited December 1969 in The Commons

Windows 7 seems to have far too many compatibility issues and I haven't been able to load Foreign fonts. There's no point in getting a font to mesh converter as it is...

All I need is the Enochian alphabet which has 21 fonts. I will paypal someone to make .obj's out of them and email them to me.

This, or maybe someone knows how to get win 7 to load these frigging foreign fonts.

You need to go to the Microsoft Download center and download this

    DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35

The missing .dll is part of Direct X 9. Download the Direct X and let it install. Once it's installed, Font to Mesh will run. I had the same issues with it.

Thanks I'll try that. Do you have anymore pics of grave markers? I was going to go full out on some old school gothic monuments but got into sci fi. What would be nice is textures and or fonts that have that engraved look. I love all those cool monuments and some must have taken quite some time to craft.

I've installed both ways and it doesn't work, at least in wordpad. This enochian font file is 14 kb. Does that sound right? Seems more like One individual font as to an alphabet. But wordpad won't load Any foreign fonts; which came with win 7.

Well DX 9 helped get the converter installed. Thanks.

But this win 7 won't display Any foreign fonts whatsoever. Even in the preview they all convert to latinized fonts.

I've just installed it from this one: http://www.fontspace.com/digital-type-foundry/enochian
It works fine in Wordpad for me.

It might have to do with your windows setttings.Check out Home Control Panel --> Appeareance and Personalization --> Fonts
There, you can see if the font is properly recognized.
If it is greyed out, like, in the example, Batang Che, it will not show.
You can do two things: First is to go to "Font settings", and there uncheck the "Display Fonts Based on Language selection".
The other one would be to select the font you want to use and just right click. In the menu that pops up, select the "show" right below "Print", and that should make the font visible.

Hey that worked. Not by the above however. I Previewed Every font to see what happened. What it does for whatever reason is rename enochian to some code like string. But that loaded into the converter and that's all we need. Finally. Danke.

Did you get the font to experiment? Or are you into Dee's freaky system!?

What I'm doing is using the letters in themed ani scenes having to do with dna manipulation. The language of light........

Yes, the font usually gives a preview of the letters ABCD, which leads to some weird things displayed, i.e. with the Symbol fonts.

I just downloaded the font for experimenting, so.. :)
I'm currently working on a novel named "Demon Division", which I might tuurn into a rendered manga t some point, but that has nothing to do with this font. :-)

That's neat. 3d type manga as to the drawn stuff I'll assume. You could refer to kabbalstic magick for ideas on (demonic) hierarchy.
