Rendering Weirdness

I am attempting to render the sign below, but the further away the object is, the more the sign distorts. Is this normal and if so, is there any way to prevent this from happening? I would like the sign to remain in focus.

What software and render engine are you using, and what are your render settings? Assuming you are using DS, make sure you don't have Depth of Field turned on, and in the Render Settings pane, try lowering the shading rate. Also, saving as a .png instead of a .jpg may help...

I am using DS2.3 & 3Delight. I dont recall experiencing this before and i got a feeling it is a DOF issue. Im no longer at my workstation, but i just found a tut on DOF so i will work on that this evening.

Thanks for the tips on the PNG vs JPG. If all else fails, I will try that as well.

Increase your pixel samples as well. 16 should be more then enough
