Weird Lighting Blowout

I'm working through Phil's tutorials on realistic lighting and everything has been going well until this point in the interior lighting section where he changes the shader on the bulbs and glass covers to have a glow at 100% and then places three spheres over the lights with a glow of 2500 and alpha of 0 . I've followed the steps in the video (even rewatched it several times) and I'm getting this wierd blowout on the celling in my render that does not show up in his render. Anyone have any ideas?

In the Global Illumination section of the renderroom I'll need to check the checkbox 'Light Through Transparency'. Without it the light will bounce off of the glass covers.

  • Thank you that did the trick.
