How can one know if sites are still active, or not?

Hi there,

I was looking for an antique style typewriter and found one at this link some days back.

But one needs to be logged in to download. I have registered and made a screen shot for myself as reminder of the login details. After registration a page pops up stating they will send me an email with password. It's now more than a week and I am still waiting! I am every day also checking the spam folder for in case it's going there ... but nothing! The site is for Cinema4D models but I can use it as I have the program. Now I am not sure if the site is still active. If not, where can I find a similar free vintage typewriter?

Edit: I have sent them a message via contact at site and will see if they respond. If not, then I can assume the site is non-working.

It's also available here http://www.c4dexchange.com/en/detail.aspx?did=64, again you need to register (I didn't try) but that site may be working.

There's also this one, http://www.videocopilot.net/blog/2013/08/free-typewriter-model-sound-fx/, no reregistration needed. It's a big file, but I downloaded it and got it working in Studio with no problems.

The most recent post at c4dsource was July 2012. I think it's safe to assume that the site is abandoned for one reason or another.
