Is there a way to tell it what has already been installed so that it will only download new and updated products?

I don't think so — when DIM downloads something, it also either downloads or creates a manifest file that tells it when the download happened, so it can keep track of updates and shift the relevant items from the "Installed" list to the "Ready To Download" queue when a new file is available. This is one of the most requested features ever since DIM was released, but I don't think it'll ever be possible unless the way the program works is significantly overhauled.

What OS, Robert - and why the re-install?

You may not need to do anything; OTOH, it may already be too late.

DIM keeps a manifest of installed products; on Windows, the files live at C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\DAZ 3D\InstallManager - you'll probably want to copy all the directories here if you're going to do a wipe and re-install of the OS; if you just plan on nuking DIM and reinstalling you won't need to do anything. The installed information is in ManifestFiles - one file per product.

    Win 8.1

Lost my C drive that's two in two months

May be ok as I had copied the users folder to an external drive for backup so those directories may be there

Thanks for the info and help will let you know
