Animation keyframe timing

Hi all,

There does not seem to be much information on the basics of animation with DS. I have animate2 and puppeteer, but I'm starting to regret that simply because of the overwhelming learning curve mixed with underwhelming information!

I'm just working with basics right now, trying to do animations through poses, not aniblocks. However, as soon as it gets to my pose it immediately starts transitioning to the next. Is there a way (using KEYFRAMES mind you) to delay the movement between the two?

What if you copy the same pose again to the frame before you want it to start changing ? Could you possibly copy the keyframes to that place? I believe Graphmate and Keymate also deal with this kind of stuff.
