I am currently modelling and texturing projects in Maya. How do I organize the project files and which file goes where in DAZ?
Thank You In Advance.

I would have a look here - http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/publishing/start - as it is the publishing standards for DAZ3D.

Not all that helpful. I am working on pieces for my own use currently and am having trouble linking my maps to my props for proper rendering. The meshes load fine but maps don't work.

Does Maya allow you to UV map the objects? Perhaps another tool like UVMapper would help. It sounds like the UV mapping is missing if the props load but you can't apply textures.

Are you using fbx or obj? I've had better luck overall using fbx, I can export to D|S with textures linked to the materials just fine. It may he helpful to use File>Set Project on either your working folder or the Daz Library folder so your image file references are relative. With obj It tends to also set diffuse to black so you don't actually see the texture in the viewport until setting it to white.

Side note, While trying to find ways to break this to see why you're having problems, I learned that you absolutely need to solve n-gons.

edit: Studio will load textures from anywhere, but it's probably best practice to store final assets in the library folder: [pathto]\Library\Runtime\Textures\

I've been using .obj, will try FBX. Found that you can't drag and drop into DIM.
Apologies also for slow response. Net troubles.
