For Genesis/V5, there's nothing special you need to do...but keep in mind that Genesis has one fewer surface on the eyes relative to V4 (or G2F), so depending on the preset, it might not look exactly the same.

For G2F, you need to own the Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female product (though without it, it might still work OK as the UVs aren't so different in the eye area), and before you can apply it to G2F you need to load it onto V4 and save it as a materials preset (.duf).

i heard about the different eye surfaces. but not what the difference is exactly.
    haz the v4 for g2f product :)

i was wondering what the most painless way to make the eye surfaces work?
    a script maybe?

if i apply it to V5, then save it to .duf. is that all i have to do for V6?
or is eye surfaces different tween V5 and V6?

the eyebrow plate is another thing?
i was a big fan of the eyebrow on the eyebrow plate at the time.
do i use it with the Uber Surface Layer2 or something?

    Thanks :)

    mystery thickens

so, all my v4 m4 texture.jpgs are in my poser runtime.

i haz to save .duf to my ds content lib? is the duf file going to remember the literal path to the jpgs?
    how does it work?

should i make an external ds content lib inside my poser folder?

    Not a problem.

    Load up a V4 or M4 into D|S.
Apply the old eye MATs you want to convert.
Save a Materials Preset into the Content Library tab, define only the eye surfaces.

It's the same procedure that was worked out for manually converting Genesis presets to work on Genesis2.
