Problem Editing my gallery

Hi all . I like the speed improvements and extras with the new look which is taking a little practice to navigate. The only problem I have found is when I go to edit a picture in my gallery it just goes dim with a spinning black circle and never comes up functional . Is there a new process for this now cause I've tried all the tricks I know . As always thank you for your time.
