Opening REALLY old files? :)

Just curious how I might go about opening/importing really old files (c. 1995) ? Is there a way to do this without having a very old version of Bryce?
thanks!

Opening old Bryce files in Bryce 7.1: File > Open, Filetype opens a drop down, select the one you want to open.
~ and out of Curiosity _ how about Bryce 1.0 ??
Bryce 1 was Mac only as far as I know.
Aye,
Bryce 1 was indeed Mac only. If I remember correctly, Bryce 2.1 could open Bryce 1.0 files, but if you rendered them you'd get very different results. (If Rodney L'Ongnion was to be believed -- and he was the expert, so I believe him -- you would even get very different results from Bryce 1.0 on 68K and Bryce 1.0.1 on PowerPC). If you needed to migrate a really old file, you might have to do it stepwise -- open a Bryce 1.0 file in Bryce 2.1, save it as Bryce 2.1, then open that in Bryce 3D -- after which a more modern version of Bryce might be able to take over. For the oldest versions, you might either need to dig up an ancient machine or run it under emulation with something like Sheepshaver.
