I'm looking for a free money prop that ISN'T on sharecg because the site has been down for days and I'm trying to make something right now...
I found 'show me the money' on most-digital-creations, but it's all together in a case ): I just need individual dollars that I can have thrown into the air, out of the top of a car.

Well, it's not free, but it is available:

ShareCG is up intermittently. You just have to keep trying. I was just on it and found this:

    http://www.sharecg.com/v/62461/browse/5/3D-Model/Money

And it includes loose dollar bills.
If/when you get on download it right away before the site goes down again

...I remember seeing that video for the first time and going "wow that's cool".

At the time at the student flat I was in, we had a 48K Apple ][, an Atari 800, and were looking at adding a Commodore 64.

I was also studying computer graphics which back then required a lot of coding to create even a simple object.

There is an empty birdcage in the video that was supposed to have a bird in it, but given the primitive modelling equipment of the day they didn't have the time nor the budget to make a bird model.

Now a day even a novice modeller could whip up a bird in that style in just a few minutes and the entire video could be rendered in real time.

If the forum had a "like" button that post would have gotten one.

...would be interesting to see how a remake would turn out.

...then again the original; had it's own sense of "charm".
