Seriously, SERIOUSLY! There was an update for DIM.
Now, there are no- none- nada product updates.
There is no option to install or NOT INSTALL the downloads. They all will install. So much for downloading to keep on an external drive.

What the heck??

I'm not sure what you're running into - I show the most current version as 1.1.0.28 and it definitely allows download without install; make sure you don't have 'Install after download' checked at the bottom of the 'ready to download' tab.

ETA - can't type worth drat tonight; fixed the version number.

I've been on DIM several times this week, this was an automatic install (the "latest") and there IS NO option at the bottom to install after download. That's what I am saying :(

    Where is the version number?

I'll go check out the tabs and see if something got reset or if a setting was changed with the update. Haven't you folks gotten the update this week?

The version number is that hard-to-read small print to the right of the word 'Manager',

'Install after download' is on the Ready to Download tab, at the bottom; 'Delete Package Once Installed' is on the bottom of the 'Ready to Install' tab (I managed to click that one once).

What I run into, usually, after an update is that DIM will restart with the 'Ready to Install' tab active.

I do my downloads to an external drive on my laptop, at a wifi hotspot and then move the external drive to my main system to do the installs when I get home.

ETA - man, I gotta get some coffee; fixed the bold.

    All settings are correct.
Now I am NOT making this up. I closed the DIM and reopened it (didn't reinstall) and the option to "Install After Download" is now showing.
I am not crazy. I have thousands of products and have done this SO many times it isn't funny. That option was NOT there when the DIM updated and I opened it the first time.

So thanks everyone. Just close it and come back in if this happens to you.

Thanks. That is the version. Wonder why I am just getting the "it's new" update notification. How long have you had it, if I might ask?

Since Monday, I think. Or maybe it was . . . Hmm - looks like I got it on the 4th. Not sure why it took so long to hit you.

I got the auto update a while ago. But, as usual I had to manually reinstall it. When I auto update, often it causes a problem with the existing one and deletes it and I must reinstall the new one, also reinstalling some content it thinks some already installed content isn't installed.

The Product Updates are NOT correct though. There's only six listed and before I had a couple dozen because I had done a lot of installing the previous month. Oh well.
