No Brodie 6 Pro Bundle?

Question for the DAZ Artist seller: I saw the new figures Brodie and Belle 6 for Genesis 2 and noticed Belle has a Pro Bundle with 11 items, but Brodie has a simple Bundle with 5 items only. Won't Brodie have a Pro Bundle too?

    Only DAZ3D can answer that.

Yeah, I know, I hope he can reply this, because it's strange Brodie doesn't have a Pro Bundle too

They effectively have, given that the Brodie Bundle is just called the Brodie Bundle. If there was going to be a Pro Bundle, this one would have been called the Brodie Starter Bundle.

At a guess? Men's stuff sells less than women's stuff, and children sell less still. So being male, and a young one at that, there wasn't as much PA interest to develop items so there wasn't enough stuff to create a Pro version of the pack.

That's my personal hunch at least.

It could be a possibility, but then, why Justin and Jayden (previous teen males figures) did have their Pro Bundle version and Brodie didn't?

Again, I don't think you have to ask. Look at the store. Look at how many Brodie products are available that aren't in the existing bundle. I count 3, and 2 of those are add-ons for outside products. You can't make a bundle if there's no product to put in it, and it looks like the PAs were a lot more interested in Belle than Brodie.

Jayden was a much older teen, for a start so probably appealed a lot as a young adult as much as it did as a teen figure. Also, Brodie's lack of content might be down to sales figures for the previous G2M teen, but that's mere speculation.

Whatever the reason, there's not a lot of male content with Brodie morphs so it's clear there wasn't nearly as much interest as Belle gathered.

Er, no. Justin DIDN'T get a Pro bundle. There was a combined Young Teens Pro Bundle that was half Julie/half Justin. Count the items out and you'll see that Justin's part of the YT Pro Bundle was the same number of items as in the Brodie Bundle.

In fact, it has 10 items in the Justin part, almost same that the Belle Pro Bundle, they were: the base, real feel pullover, paul hair, aaron, jesse, teen swag, tre, true love poses, pure hair and teenage poses

I only see five of those as products that actually require Justin and the rest being universal Genesis or Julie specific, but the point still stands that DAZ never even tried to sell Justin on his own except as a base. By breaking Brodie out into his own separate bundle, they've at least let people who only want him to get him without having to buy a bunch of Belle stuff, and from the comments I've heard there are people who intend to do just that. Personally I would have rather they waited on releasing Brodie until after Belle, but if this is an example of the kind of attention he'll get, I suspect it means that the PAs who make young male stuff are probably already working on Hiro 6 product.

Here's where it would be a good time to point out that auto-fit works really good on Brodie.. almost no distortion with anything made for G2M besides the normal crease between the legs that happens with skirts/tunics. Any normal guy clothes should get very good results with him.. he's not like lumpy Lee or Gianni that are just disasters if the outfit doesn't have a morph for them.

If there will be no Brodie 6 bundle then why does it show up in search field in the shop? Is this an eventual release? I've waited to purchase this bundle until a "pro" bundle either shows up or confirmation that it will not be sold.

The search field suggests what other people have searched for the most, that doesn't mean there are products matching the search suggestions.

Idle n00b question. I looked at the promos in passing, and could not tell if the two of them were supposed to be toon-like akin to Aiko and Willow, or if they were just not renderd under ideal conditions for a realistic appearance.

My apologies for the question sounds brutally honest, if it comes across that way. I'm still really new here, and just don't know.

For me, it is obvious. Brodie will not get a pro version, you can only hope for some addon bundles, which I would like to see, but doubt I will. If DAZ wanted to release normal bundles, it would have already done that.

I think it would be a fair deal to get free updates of clothes with Brodie fits. Especially fantasy stuff and things that all users have: Newport Outfit, Voyager M6 and clothes from Genesis 2 Starter Essentials (the sets called Surf's Up and Lumbejack Garb). It would be a fair deal in my humble opinion.

I guess the same. Jayden was a morph just finishing puberty. Just look at his morphs. Brodie is still a boy, poor guy... Though I do intend to make some characters that use Brodie. Probably without skin though, I have no Gen2M resource kits and even if I did, they would not allow freebie-making, ugh.

(and yes, I made something for him, it just hasn't been released yet)

What? Where? Your stuff is amazing, I will surely be on the lookout for it.

You know, Clair has Silver's style, which is quite distinctive and leans towards feeria of colours. As for the general idea, the twins (I call Belle and Brodie twins, because as we don't have Giselle's boyfriend, I intend to pair her with Brodie ) are supposed to be unpolished real young teenagers bar Brodie's lipstick ;).

DAZ males have never gotten any respect. Heck, they give Justin away free with the purchase of Julie.

How come?! They were always split up, you could buy just Justin, though obviously the duet was a better bang for your buck (they are on Fast Grab now, by the way). Where did you find information Justin is being given away with Julie? Because if what you are saying is true, I must let my friends know.

They're the most realistic looking teens we've gotten from Daz so far IMO, Zarcon. I have absolutely no idea why they put the morphs under stylized.

I, and my usual cohorts, have a bundle coming for them in a bit. =)

Historically, Daz (and the vendors that sell here) have never tried to sell ANY of their Young Teens. The YT 5 series (Julie & Justin) got an initial push, then nothing. There was no YT4 series. The YT 3 series (Luke & Laura) got an initial push in the fall of '04, and then averaged 1 product every 6 months until V4 rolled out. In one instance, a product was completed (with installer) in November, but didn't show up in the store until the following March Madness. Almost all of the support for YT3 came from outside DAZ. The Gen2 Millkids were the only series that even came close to being supported. Of course, that was also back when there was a wide variety of clothing, as opposed to the current selection of impractical armor & hookerware.

Since the genesis 1 & genesis 2 series do not have much in the way of support outside of the DAZ storefront, I don't see this changing anytime soon.

Basically true, though there used to be a lot more Laura product in the store than Luke. My take on it is that DAZ always assumed in the past that they would sell more "teen-ish" items if they stuck Aiko and Hiro's names on them. (Or, at the very least, that they'd draw less complaints on the more fetishy items like schoolgirl uniforms if they were sold as Aiko add-ons rather than for Laura or Julie.)

On the other hand, both Josie and Jayden have had dedicated follow-up packs of products, so there has been some improvement in that direction... though I am beginning to wonder if everyone at DAZ believes that teen males wear nothing besides shorts and hoodies.

So the, I cant quite name it, is 'Stylized' version of them. And the cover (guessing by V3D) for amazing skins is quite close to the (dare I say), Human body proportions version???

It's either a little to much hourglass, or the chin is a tad to pin-point ended under the lights, mouth is to narrow, eyebrows way too plucked, or something. I don't know, it just dose not look completely human for the age there supposed to be??? Perhaps one of the many morph packs out there can mend whatever it is.

I, and my usual cohorts, have a bundle coming for them in a bit. =)

So the prospect of more cool stuff continues. :cheese: I'm guilty of not even thinking of FWSA Aiyana and 'The Crew' after that "Fixing mom's computer joke". Been so busy with new stuff. I have stuff I'm yet to see in daz studio, lol. Like the MeiLin6 almost everything list of stuff.

Honestly, I need to get that other 16GB Ram kit for this workstation (it's why I've done no new songs of late). Decisions, Lee6 or Michael6, or these little ones... hmmm. Where is my decision dice.

M6 definitely has the most characters made for him, Lee looks more realistic but auto fitting clothes to him is usually a mess unless you have SY's clothing smoothers or the clothing has a custom morph made for him. Stuff auto fits to M6 better... and stuff auto fits to Brodie almost perfectly with no adjustment.

I agree they are rather realistic. For sure better than Josie and Jayden when it comes to proportions. But I am afraid that, if the vendors and freebie-makers themselves jump on the train, they may get pretty much abandoned. For instance, we did not get any school uniforms, I mean, believable ones (not fetishwear). All in all, there out to be at least one and there are many interesting designs out there. If somebody is interested, I can share them, of course.

When it comes to winter clothes, I admit I am quite impressed. In the last week, we got more of them than in the last seven months. I guess we will still get an inevitable Ms Claus kinkywear, but hopefully someone's going to whip out a fine Santa Claus suit for Gen2M.
