Object missing error

I have been working on a bryce scene and it crashed. When I went relaunched bryce and tried to open my file, it says there is a missing object and it will launch without it. But then it just crashes. Does anyone knownhow to fix this? I have spent hours working on this scene and am afraid I won't be able to open it and have to start over.

    From my experience once a file will not open or crashes each time it opens than it's back to square one. I hope someone will have a solution for you because I don't recall having an object missing error. Although I don't really follow this rule, the trick is to save all the time.

    hollie.wright - Welcome to this forum. Once you have a crash, the saved file then is corrupt. As mermaid recommends, save often with increasing numbers at the filename end (e.g. myfile1, myfile2, myfile3, etc). Why you had the problem I cannot say without knowing what exactly you did.
