Tunic Snap Back Problem

Hello. I am relatively new to Daz and I have this weird problem with some clothing assets that do not seem to conform to figure shapes. The problem I had was with the Night Guard and Shield Maiden clothing pieces, specifically with the long tunics. Every time I load the piece onto my figure, the skirt appears completely straight and does not conform to the figure's leg positions. Ive tried fiddling with some settings and it briefly snaps into its correct positions while I was doing so, before it snaps back into the same wonky appearance after I finish with the setting.

Any idea how I can fix this or is it a problem with the asset itself?

Have a look in the Scene tab and open up the tunic until you find the thighs. You may find that there are movement handles which allow you to pose the skirt part as you want.

I have a tutorial on my website that explains this.

Thanks for the link. It looks ultra neat. However, I think I might have found the problem. After finding the same thing happening to a pair of jeans I was messing with, it could be the pose limiters, since I tried to load a pose that prompted the limiter warning window to pop up. It broke when I turned it off. So far, turning the limiter back on doesnt seem to work and the only solution I have is to reload the asset entirely. I'll find a proper fix to it sooner or later.

A lot of, if not all, long robes, dresses etc for Studio are rigged to only auto follow on the upper body portion and the lower portion rigged with adjustment handles or ghost bones that you must manually adjust to fit the pose. So on any long garment that just hangs straight down no matter which pose is used you will need to use those handles. Morphing Fantasy Dress is a good example of this. Even garments that come to knee length are often rigged this way so do check in the Scene tab by navigating to the thigh and shin areas of the garment and if the bone names you see there are something other than thigh and shin....they are handles or ghost bones that must be manually adjusted via the Parameters pane. Not sure why the jeans would have acted like that although I have occasionally had a mesh go bonkers, removing the offending item from the scene and loading back in a fresh copy always fixes it for me :)

Some of them don't even have ghost bones, I ran into a dress just last week that didn't have conforming thighs or ghost bones, it was only moved by morphs. So if you don't find any, keep calm and look in parameters.
