The first link the pose could be modified version of that pose or just the hand/arm applied to a different one. I do that often :)

Poses in general have always knocked my bones and figure sizes out of wack. I would just hand-eye replicated poses if I were you.
All my poses are hand crafted...

...I noticed that too, unless the poses used are specifically for the character you are using as a base, or the base Genesis/G2 figure, they can affect the scaling and proportions. I wish there was a way to override this.

I usually use a set pose primarily for a starting point and then modify it to my needs.
