Partially furred character. options?

I been trying to make a partially furred character. The placement of the body hair is so close to that of RAW art's Sasquatch character ( https://www.daz3d.com/sasquatch ) I can taste it. (well, you know what I mean). The LAMH for the character seems perfect, but I need to remove the hair from the front of the chest and neck. Just furry back, back of the neck, shoulders and "pants".
i don't know if trying to fake fur with texture or the supersuit would be all the successful.

I am willing to invest in LAMH (it is on sale now), but I wanted to make sure that there was no other way, and if LAMH is good for a novice.

Is there a way to edit a LAMH preset, so that I could say "shave off" the chest hair, but leave the remaining well done work in place?

PS I do understand that I should not redistribute derivative work of another use. I only want to make a model for non-commercial renders.

Yes, you can edit the density map to zero out the areas you want to keep hairless.
