Question : how to turn on the main lights? Simply, the Teuf-Teuf has two "Eyes". Just turn on the eyes in the scene tab to get lights...

Yes, in iray it looks better than the previous version, but this is quite common improvement if one switch shaders.
Based upon the original texture of the Teuf-teuf, changing the shader is not so easy or you have a huge collection of Iray shaders presets and even in this case you can not get this result which is a complete retexturing from the blanco page; Of course, the colors choices and mix I made in the past are still my prefered. These textures are not only a "shader change" and if you look closely you will see that a lot of details are added. Yes it looks huge better than the previous version and it is the goal for the Teuf-teuf lovers.
You are right and I do not say, that you have not put a significant amount of work to make this new version.
I do like the original Teuf-Teuf model but had one problem with it that I've not yet solved. I have a Maroon and Black Charleston, which has chrome hub caps, a chrome hinge trim for the boot (trunk) and a chrome trim on the rain gutter over the doors. At the moment I can't see a way of making the Teuf-Teuf replicate these bits by having a different shader from the bodywork. This means it's not really possible to make it look completely like my real Charleston - and I would love to.
Can I ask if the iRay update addresses this issue? (Not actually sure how a shader update could do that as I'd imagine that new material boundaries would be needed, but I am a relative novice and don't know all the tricks by a long shot.) If not, I will eventually model up trim bits to do that. At some point I also want to make it Right Hand Drive, but I am hoping that may be a relatively simple vertex translation morph.
It is a nice model though. Reminds me of fun days when we ran ours on a daily basis. My wife and I had 3off 2CV6's and a Dyane in 10 years. Wonderful little cars.

Richard
I'm so sorry for you that the model I choose has white hub cap and no chrome for the gutter. May be these options are "Luxe" version. Because you're a real fan of that car (as I am), if you mail me some pictures of your Teuf-Teuf I can offer these little changes for you ([email protected]).
Thank you. I will see if I can get any good photos. In the UK, during the years I was old enough to be interested in the car (1975 onwards) there were 3 main trim standards. There was the bottom of the range 'Special' with no hub caps or gutter trim. The 'Dolly' was the middle standard trim, almost exactly as you modelled but with chrome hub caps and gutter trim. The 'Luxe' Charleston was around for about 10 years and also had different trim inside. However all models I can remember had a chrome boot hinge.
In our Charleston in 1994 we drove to the Tyrol in Austria from Kent in 13 hours elapsed time, including ferry, for 650 miles (1045km) and approached 90mph (145kmh) at one point on a motorway in the Ardennes. So much more fun than our modern car to drive.
E-mail sent with under 2Mb of image attachments, hope it gets through.

Richard
I get it. Very interresting! I give you some more news soon.
