Hey! So I had this model that I built a few years back and decided to turn it into a product. It ended up being more work than I had originally thought, but now it's almost done and ready to show. It could be used for toons but has a dark realism to it.
Hope everyone like's it.
No retouching.

How very handsome. It's been a while since we had much traditional fairly tale content to admire.
Very pretty :)
Wow. This was originally posted along time ago. Anyways, I've made some real improvements to the product, Iray surfaces, improved textures, more objects and added a holiday snow scene too. Should be available soon in my DAZ store. Hope everyone likes it!
Wow i like this; not seen before so might be a buy for me.
It looks very nice. Not usually the type of thing I go for, but I'm intrigued. The renders you posted look really good.
This one looks like it will have a ton of possibilities!
Nice — this definitely ought to be seen in the DVD extras of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.
Magical creation... this will certainly be jumping in my cart:)
Love this!
Great promos there! Especially the last three.
The Gingerbread House should be for sale in my store real soon.
Thanks for looking in.
It's adorable, looking foward to it:)
Damn it looks great; can't afford it though. :(
Looks good, and I just picked up a copy of it. Got a question though, in the promo shots for the product itself, the last one is of a dragon. Did that sort of get in there by mistake, or does it really have something to do with the product I don't understand?
I included that rendering to show you can use just the background evironment without the Gingerbread houses for a wide range of scenes.
Sorry, didn't mean to make it confusing.
This is it...this is the gingerbread house you've been waiting for. Sufficient for all your edible architecture needs, this set will ensure that you never have to purchase any more yummy buildings...until the Management comes out with a newer version.
The magnitude of the goodies contained in this package boggles the mind. Not only do you have 4 gingerbread house presets, but the Management has also provided modular elements from which you can fabricate your own vaguely disturbing, yet delicious, neighborhoods. You can build an entire town with which to taunt your virtual Hansels and Gretels. The wishing well, the tree stump, and the peppermint street lamps continue the candy theme with lawn accessories. Some toony conifers, covered in snow, look like they could conceivably be made from frosting -- yum yum.
But wait...there's more. A large lollipop and a candy cane can serve as artificial trees. Or you can scale them down and use them as food for the aforementioned virtual Hansel and Gretel while they are dissolving into puddles of drool, trying to figure out which house to chew on first.
And that's not all. We also have three different wrapped gift boxes adorned with bows, up to the Management's usual high standards of meticulous sculpting. You can never have too many presents in your unnerving gingerbread village, so here are some to get you started.
Don't go away...'cause we're not done yet. There's a 360-degree environment, consisting of a gloomy sky, a forbidding, leafless forest backdrop, a ground plane, and optional snow drifts. Any renders of chilly Halloween, winter hikes, or even mud season in Vermont :p, will look dank, dark, and grim when you use this scenery.
The sheer variety of options, plus the great modeling and texturing, and the slightly macabre feel all combine to make this a versatile set, one of my most favorite of any genre. Amazing quality, amazing price, amazing product.
Here's a mediocre render I did with some elements from the package. [It's meant to be a scaled-down village as part of a Christmas display.] This is just one of many pictures in which I'll be using the set. It also makes a great base for a candy land render!

P.S. I was actually not paid to write this. The Gingerbread House set is just so cool that I had to trumpet its awesomeness on the forums. :D
Hmmmm...I see that the materials default to Iray. How do I change them to 3Delight?

Modern Wizard. Wow! Thanks for the great write up! That was spectacularly written, you have a real gift with words.
Many thanks.
As for changing textures back to 3d Delight. I will have to look into that. You really should give iRay a run though, it
makes setting up lighting easier with better results.
Two questions, if you will:
1) Are there 3Delight textures?
2)Do the doors open?
Thanks!
How else is the witch gonna' get the kids inside?
Yes, all the doors open except one on the small cottage. The interior is just a small closed entryway. IRay is the default, so I didn't do 3d Delight. I may do an update if enough people request it.
Thanks
TM
I have bought the Gingerbread House but can't use IRay so i'm requesting 3Delight textures, otherwise i have to return it
Thank you so much for looking in to the 3Delight textures. I really want to keep the lovely and unique Gingerbread House
Thank you for having the doors openable - not all vendors do, and it really improves the usability of the set. If you do a 3Delight update, I will definitely be a customer! The set looks beautiful from the promo pictures.
Updated Gingerbread iRay and 3d Delight materials have been posted. Check your product library. Enjoy and thanks for purchasing.
