Stupid question time

I feel really dumb asking this, but when I'm in the top, side or bottom views, how do I zoom in on something?

The normal camera controls don't work in these views, or at least I can't get them to work.

    Use the + and - signs from the right hand set of icons

    You can also use the '+' and '-' keys on the number pad on the keyboard.
