"Unpainting" weight maps

I was trying my hand at weight map painting (in the context of D-Formers) and I found myself with a problem.

In Blender, when I paint a weight map, I can select the intensity of the brush and, additionally, whether I am adding or subtracting from the values of the map; this allows me to "unpaint" over-painted areas.

I did not find anything similar in Studio. I saw that I can zero out values of the map, I can smooth (potentially towards zero) them but I found no clean way to reduce the intensity of the influence.

Am I missing something?

    Two Options

    1.
Attenuate Selected under weight edit. A dialogue will pop up with a percentage. type 0.0 and you will remove the weight painting from selected polys without removing the map itself.

    2.
While painting with the weight brush, hold down the Alt key.

Lots of thanks, dear lorde5656. Actually, the more I try, the more I find Studio weight painting similar to Blender's one.

    Excellent, absolutely excellent.
