Can rendered images be used in indie games?

Sorry I've read the Daz end user agreement and still can't figure it out.

It's like this.

(1) I buy some stuff from Daz online shop. (Character, environment, animation etc.)
(2) I render them in Daz, sometimes render a animation to image series.
(3) In the end what I have are only 2D works, a set of images.

Can I use these images in a indie game?
Thanks a lot guys!

Yes, you can. It's only when you want to reuse 3d models and their textures directly that you end up needing a games license (I'm paraphrasing, I'm not a lawyer, but that is basically it).

Thank you! Finally I can take a deep breath and relax. I've visited your shop, very nice models, may purchase some from you in future :D

still images and animations, you could even do 2D sprites for 3/4 view games and side scrollers.
you just cant use the 3d meshes as 3d meshes without the indie game license.

I find it all fascinatingly strange but after seeing so many free models on legit share sites show up as pay for models elsewhere or pay for models showing up on illicit share sites (both "free" or "pay me a little less instead") i can understand.

Thanks. Rendering 3D models to 2D images really make game development much easier, especially for people who don't have a good sprite drawing skill, like me. I don't mind to pay some money to mesh developer since making a 3D model usually costs more time than drawing a 2D sprite. And there's really a large market for 2D games, and about the tools, unity for PC is free plus apple released sprite kit. :3
