strange render of displaced hexagon sphere

I have made some displacement brushes (png) for Hexagon... In Hexagon I created a sphere and smoothed it 4 times and used my vein displacement brush which seemed fine... in Hexagon ...which I exported and imported into Bryce.  When I rendered the sphere in Bryce I got strange black triangles.... What have I done wrong?
