Backing up Genesis 2 before using Genx2

I have been away from Studio since the V4 days and am trying to figure out how to do something.

I got the new studio, Genesis 2 fem, some basic sets morphs for her... ...and Genx2 + the genesis 2 add on for GenX2.

When using GenX2 on my Geneisis figure to add morphs it can bloat the figure quite a bit with extra dials and such. I want to see if I can keep a Genesis 2 without the added morphs from GenX2 and another figure with a bunch of morphs added each as separate figures. Is there a way to do that with how genesis 2 loads up?

Each morph is a separate file, it isn't like a CR2. You could back up the \Data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 2\Female folder to have a bare-bones version of the figure.

Would that just be a back up in case I wanted to go back to a bare bones version later or would it be possible to copy that folder and set it up in a second location to be called as its own figure somewhere in the DAZ Studio content pane? If so how would I have to have a folder structure and any dependencies to make it work?

You could copy the G2F files to a separate location, but you'd not want both the bare bones and the full versions active at once - using a pair of content directory sets to switch is possible, and a good idea for content creation. The tools for creating content directory sets are in Edit>Preferences>Content Library tab>Content Directory Manager.
