Fitting Genesis 2 hair and clothing to Genesis figures

I see that hair and clothing of more primitive models can be autofit to Genesis 2 figures. Is the reverse possible? I recently wanted to put Genesis 2 hair on a genesis figure and the autofit looked bad. I ended up parenting the hair to the figure. Is there an easier way to use Genesis 2 hair and clothing with Genesis figures?

There are AutoFit clones for Genesis to take Genesis 2 items in the store:

It isn't possible to go further back, though, without manual adjustment and rigging.
