Hi All,

I've completed the first seven minutes of my short film, The Coroner, which is my pet project.

It's taking a while and the credit list is gonna be huge by the time I've finished.

See what you think.

Cheers,

Dean

    Deanpw,

Wow, this is just an awesome animation you should be very happy with this. It was much like watching the beginning of a movie when in a theater, the production quality is very high.
Two thumbs up , if I had another thumb that one would be up too.

WOW! That was awesome! Congragulations! Did you create this alone? What software did you used to rendered it? DAZ? iclone?

Thanks guys, it's just a shame it takes so long to do.

@drumpao, Everything is rendered in Daz, then dropped into After Effects for the vfx.

@wendy, what's with the Jaderail poster, 'never to be forgotten'? Has he left us?

This is really sad news. I've left my sympathies in the appropriate places and have done what you and a few others have done with regards to a signature in his memory.

Do you know if Daz are going to release the character he created? (Enos Sunder). All proceeds could go to his family.

Very impressive. I can only imagine how long it took to render all those scenes. Awesome

Jeff's (Jaderail's) character, which was also his avatar, was built using DS and DAZ 3D models and morphs. It was Jeff's own Dial spin but many have come pretty close to duplicating it in tribute images, using the skin that he used, which is also a Commercial product already.

We did have a donation thread in order to help his family and his live in carer, which ran for a month and raised $1250. http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/44408/

Very nice, all the elements are good - character animation, sound FX, music ... I especially like the camera angles, motion, composition in the frame. The sequence starting at 6:30 is a good example.

Thanks DigiVault / Steve. Much appreciated.

@chohole, That's brilliant! It's great when a community comes together to help out like that!
With regards to his character, I'll try to re-create it using the method you mentioned. Would love to have his character in my short film to give him a really nice credit!

I like the variety of shots, and it has a Blade Runner feel. Nice touch of the first victim having his memory read to find who killed him. You obviously are working hard on this. Nicely done!!

This is great. Not just from 3D point of view. You obviously have some talent for pace/story/editing. I'd say I'm a pretty jaded Sci-Fi movie watcher, and I enjoyed watching it, left an impression on me. There's some good ideas here, well executed.

Fantastic work. It looks like a Hollywood production.
Super job with the vfx, the camera angles, the sounds. Hell, you even have a Wilhelm scream! Nice touch.
