Rendering question (Grass Detail)

I'm noticing a funny thing when rendering a scene with blades of grass.
It seems I get a loss of detail in my renders on the grass, in certain spots, and I'm not sure what is causing this.
you will notice in the distance the grass looks like grass...as it comes closer, and in random spots, you see green squares
Any ideas?

How is the grass being created? If it's shader grass you may want to lower the Shading Rate in Render Settings.
The shading rate is ,20
Is that high?

Actually....
Setting the shading rate to .40 made a huge difference.
Thanks!
Looks nice! The sky is a backdrop or taken from an atmosphere pack?
