Sword and Sorcery DAZ-wide contest

Easy to miss this sort of thing in our Carrara corner of the forums.

It has already been noted that Daz seems to be returning to Naked Vicky in a Temple with a Sword (NVIATWAS) - except the naked part.  I think Julie Bell, Boris Vallejo, Frank Frazetta is more the thought.

It does NOT say that Daz Studio must be used, but it DOES say that a Daz asset must be used, presumably from the store, but I think there is a link to a qualifying freebie.  I'm sure they want Blender users to be able to use a Daz Asset in a Blender render and still be eligible.  So why not us!

    mebbe even put carrara back on the radar

    only a few weeks.  gonna try and do a slide show and hash tag on yt

    devil snf showcase some of the carrara stuff gone from store

    here's my early start not sure about the gorilla's hand whether it looks natural?

    the gorilla is a handsome prince who was assaulted by a witch while he was watering his ivy plants in his grandmother's garden

    After I stopped laughing, I had to rub my eyes.  Did you just render an adult female? surprise

    Pretty good Vicky and sword, except the boobs are a bit small. :)

    Headwax - backstory reminds me of Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger in which an evil witch transforms a prince into a primate so he can't inherit the kingdom.

    Fun with my whimsical figures.

    WIP #1 - The only assets used are the modelers (vertex, hair, terrain), rigging tools, realistic sky controls, default textures, etc that come with Carrara.  

    I have to give the 4-armed guy an expression, revisit all the shaders, play more with the realistic sky settings etc.

    Yes I dialed up the morph dial to 'magnificent' but it made no difference to the gorilla's pecs

    all that time i spent on nursoda characters into carrara.  not sure it counts as daz content since i didnt buy it here.

    tempted to do a minotaur scene.  but cant help feeling a 8.1 render be better.  show that carrara CAN use new content if theyd put  a lil effort into it.

    lol  didnt notice til you mentioned it.  built in flotation devices
