How do I make Larger Skin Version of a Darker Skin?

I have a texture that is a bit dark but i want it to be a lighter skin character. It's not completely a white skin it's kind of brown, but i want it to be lighter than it is.

I've tried upping the Diffuse COlor and that makes it look weird.. it doesn't look good. it looks like it's highlighted.

You cannot do this using the diffuse colors with the general provided shaders, because since the colors are multiplying, you will necessarly have a lower value (V of the HSV system), and so a darker Skin.

I made a product allowing you to increase the value of your skins (well actually with HSV drivers working on diffuse maps, and many other things). This can solve your issue. In your case, I would recommend just increasing the pre-process dial Value, this should be enough. Maybe you will have to adjust a bit the saturation, well, you will see...
The product is this one for male : http://www.daz3d.com/amazing-skins-for-genesis-2-male-s
This one for female : http://www.daz3d.com/amazing-skins-for-genesis-2-female-s
And the bundle exists too : http://www.daz3d.com/amazing-skins-for-genesis-2-bundle
This is well documented on the first page of the topic, you have the list of all videos and the pdf available,
    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/44294/

In brief how to do that :
    1. Load your figure
    2. go to People / Genesis 2 Male / Materials / Amazing Skins / (the pass is the same with females if it is a female version)
    3. double click V3D_APPLIER_AmazingSkinG2M (Or V3D_APPLIER_AmazingSkinG2F for females)
    4. Go in the surface tab, and select using control+click simultaneously all the skin, lips fingernails and toenails (their should be 16 surfaces)
    5. Apply the settings show in the image I post here
    6. Make a test render, and re-adjust Saturation and Luminosity (Value) of the skin if necessary. You can play with Hue too eventually, but this should not be necessary.
In your case, just a lighter skin, well, just increase its value should be sufficient. You could try the settings I'm posting here as an image.

thanks for info but if you've seen my threads OR even if you haven't you do know not all of us use Genesis. I use V4, M4.
But thanks anyway, i figured out something already

    Ah OK.
The amazing skins products contain the shader versions of the material so that people can use it on older generations (Genesis, M4, V4).
But if you have figured out how to solve your issue another way, I'm happy for you, you won't need them :)
Good luck for your render, will you post it in the gallery?
