Very long open/merge/save times
Hey everyone,
I've been struggling with this issue for awhile now and am at the point where I really need to look for solution. I'm currently working on a large project that demands a lot of scenes with many figures (up to around twelve). General editing requiring opening/merging/saving these scenes has become a huge timesink because any of these operations can take from between three to five minutes for these projects. I was hoping someone could offer suggestions on ways to speed this up, or perhaps what hardware would directly affect this so that I could upgrade to something better.
One thing I've consistently noticed is what I believe is a memory leak that eats up all 32GB of my system's RAM. This occurs after just a few of these projects are opened or merged during the course of a session. It also remains in the OS's running processes after Daz is completely shut down.
I'm currently using a box with a third generation i5, 32 GB 3 channel RAM, NVidia GeForce GTX660 FTW, and Samsung 830 Evo SSD with Daz Studio 4.5 64-bit.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!!
EDIT: Just for reference, these project files are in the area of 50 MB in size.

In the Content Library, under Scripts>Utilities, is Purge Memory. If the scenes aren't sharing textures, you can purge the memory. Sometimes restarting Studio between scenes is good as well.
Was that added in 4.6 or 4.7? Not seeing that script :(. On a side note are there any settings you know of that would lead to faster open/merge times? I'd be willing to sacrifice viewport quality, etc.
This is crazy. After opening one project and merging another this is what's going on. There's no way this is working as intended =/
