Please see attached picture.

I've been having fun with this story but in one of my renders, I noticed her sclera were black. The next picture with the exact same lighting, I have her eyes looking left and it renders fine. Literally the ONLY change I made. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    Couple of fixes to try:
Make sure your character is at world center (0,0,0)
Change Instance Optimization to either Memory or Speed - which one works better seems to be random.
There is a morph for the eye moisture that can also fix it available at ShareCG  (I have this downloaded but I have yet to try it)

How do you know if your character is at world center, and how do you get them there if they aren't?

  • Assuming it isn't parented to soemthing else then the hip and figure nodes should haev zero X and Z translations in the Parameters pane.

To move your character to world origin, just change Instancing Optimization from "Auto" to whichever option gets rid of the black sclera.

Thanks, I'll give that a try the next time I encounter this.
