Clothing for men? Are you crazy!!! commercial

OK so that is true. When you start out to do clothing for "Men" the first thing that comes to mind is, Are you crazy? People say I need clothing for my male figures but... you know, you leave them running around half naked. In the snow, outer space, a post apocalyptic landscape, and there half naked.

So It may be that your only saying you need more clothes for men but what you mean is something else, I'm not here to judge. But if you were really looking for duds for dudes here is your chance to let me know.

This set would be a static prop if not for the expert partnership with SickleYield who has loaded this product with more morph options than I could have even imagined possible.
I hope you enjoy the set.

Nice! And I'd be all over it ... if it only worked in Poser too. Any way to do so? I can roll my own PCFs if they're all it needs, or does it use things that only Studio can handle?

The time between this getting pushed to the marketplace and it landing in my cart could have been measured in hummingbird wing flaps.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. And with the coincident release of Denki Gaka's "Fun With Yarn" shader set the outfit became even more useful.

Beloved content creators, two words: CLOTHES. HAIR. MEN.

OK, three. Three words. I haven't had coffee yet.

Thanks, its good to know that there's support in the community. I have more ideas but kept putting them on the back burner. Now I can take a look and see what might be fun to create.

I have to ask, which boots are used in the promo art? They look great with the outfit.

I bought this quickly and one of the reasons is I love Sickleyield's morphs. I wish more vendors would add these kinds of morphs to clothes as it increases their use by like 10X in renders.

Having ideas is never the problem. Having time and energy and making something that will pay back on time spent is. ;)

To True. I think it's a matter of zeroing in on what the most people want short of boring. What I mean is I personally would do more sci-fi and steampunk, but DAZ says Steampunk is a bad seller so I skip that. I see the need for daily wear but what if I think that means a flannel shirt when everyone else is thinking suit and tie. I work at home so I guess I am not a good role model.

But would I love to do the one thing that everyone wants and would buy? YES. Because everyone would be happy and my time would be well spent.

If you know what that is I am all ears!!! So please let me know.

    Agree 100% with this statement.

Quality morphs on male clothing? YES, more please!

I wish I could tell you what would sell for sure, but that's not possible. :(

I will tell you what *I* look for, though. I'm mostly into science fiction and superheroes. With male clothes, outside of bodysuits, I find that the more generic, the better. I saw the knit set and felt it would handle both nicely, so I grabbed it. The two pieces aren't that different from Uzilite's Next Adventure set, or the uniforms from Star Trek TOS. I slapped on Rawn's Red Kevlar for the sweater and Green Leather for the pants and I had something I could use for either (the odd colours are significant for what I'm playing with). What might have made it a little better would have been a pocket or shoulder patch option for ship patches, and/or a morph for the pant legs to tuck them into boots (like the ST:TOS pants).

Textures alone will take this set from a western to outer space. Make more like it and I will buy.

    Thanks for a great product.

I'd be interested in steampunk if there was something which really caught my eye, as with any other genre. I mean, I love science-fiction, but some of the costumes on sale I have zero interest in, because they're very 1950s and superficial. But then something like Streetwear's Rogue Sci-Fi Suit this comes along, which is just mind-blowing in quality and I can think of dozens (if not potentially hundreds) of uses for.

Same goes for, say, mediaeval costumes. It's not that I don't have any interest in the genre (on the contrary, if anything), just that there isn't often much around which I can look at and feel it's ideal for the kind of stuff I'm aiming for. I'd love to have something along the lines of the black wedding dress, from 'Legend', with that impressive triangular collar, for my villainous sorceresses, but there seemed to be very little in that style for Genesis/G2F until the Ravynne Outfit came out (which still isn't quite what I have in mind for my characters, but was close enough to guarantee a purchase from me).

That's why I got several of Yura's designs. No-one had done a convincing leather biker's jacket for Genesis 2 and their Anarchy set came with one (hopefully, there'll be something larger to be relevant for G2M, too, so that we can finally make our own Genesis 2 Terminators :) ). Coming with the matching leather skirt, fingerless gloves and spiked boots, were a bonus, because I'd been in need of those, too.

So, even if I don't necessarily specialise in certain genres, if something is made which is really eye-catching (without being skimpwear), I'll at least start putting money aside, if not purchase it, then and there. Like, the moment someone makes G2F/G2M-compatible jumpsuits for mechanics/flightsuits/whatever, that's something I know me and a whole lot of other people will be jumping on, because even if I don't need to do a portrait of one, I'll always need that stuff to liven up my background characters!

Sickleyield's Burlap Dolly? I've never felt the desire to do artistic renders of toys, but I totally have horror scenes which make that mouth-stitching prop relevant! And that's why I got it. :) Being in the 'toy genre' made no difference to the product's desirability!

I actually needed a jump suit the other day, flight suit really, and had to kit bash it because the older free one wasn't detailed enough. I love Sci-Fi and I have something in the works with SickleYeild right now that is pretty cool for the G2 Male. I also like steampunk but if DAZ is put off by the theme it's not worth even thinking in that direction.

Ha that's cool. There is a body suit that goes under it, but this is the project without textures.
