auto-fit erases rigging

I am trying to use a braided hair prop that is rigged and made for v4. When i auto-fit it to genesis 2 female figure the bones and rigging for the braid disappear. Is there anyway to prevent this or is there a work around or a fix? Help would be greatly appreciated. I am running latest install of Daz Studio.

The best option for hair like this which has lots of bones that aren't in V4 is to parent the hair to G2F's head instead of autofitting, as autofitting will delete any bones that aren't in G2F. Use the translate/rotate/scale parameters to get the scalp to match G2F's head; you can add a smoothing modifier to the hair to get rid of any G2F scalp poking through.
Autofit will replace the existing rigging with a new Rig base, your best option is as mike describes above rather than using autofit.
