Why is there not iClone 6 on the Daz website available? I just see the version 5.

because DAZ is just a reseller
Yes, DAZ is an official reseller of iClone and thus will be promoting iClone 6 very soon.
The Reallusion team is currently preparing all the materials/videos that will be posted, so expect iClone 6 around the first 2 weeks of February.
Besides acquiring iClone, all DAZ users that register their iClone copy will also be getting the Bonus content. http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/bonus.html
The iclone 6 is buggy right now. My principal video production tools include iclone for over 3 years. I am spending my time learning the Daz3D applications, because it is a waste of time worrying with iclone 6 at this time.
There are some die-hard icloners that are creating tutorials and doing what they can with the application, there does not appear to be much in the way of serious video production.
There are only 2 new iclone 6 human characters and there are no tools to morph them. So, if you can create with only 2 characters and a few sets of different clothes...you have my blessings.
@rampart1: Thank you!
Anyway, I want to export my Genesis stuff into iClone. So I don't have to worry about the G6 stuff. :P
It's so complicated so create good facial animation within DAZ such as letting them talk. I can change facial expression from one to another, but it does not look very natural.
How do you do facial animation, Rampart1?
You can use the current version of iclone 5.5 with 3dxchange and migrate complete genesis models into iclone now. Recently, I read where some iclone users have been having problems migrating characters into Iclone 6. iclone 6 was release prematurely, but users wanted it now. Most are playing with it to learn it, which is good because the new GUI and the way things are arranged and work are different. Iclone has had real time renders up to now, and they provide Indigo render plug in now. I have used Sony Vegas Pro for audio and final rendering of iclone projects up to now.
There is no recent release of 3dxchange for iclone 6. It is due soon is what we have all been told. You really don't want to waste your time, effort or money on Iclone 6 until the 3dxchange ver 6 is available, and the morph tools for individual character builds are available.
Facial animation in iclone 5.5 was pretty slick. Lipsync in iclone is excellent and does not require a separate plugin. There is no information released on iclone 6 facial animation, because there are no morph tools available yet.
One thing about iclone you will enjoy. There are presets for so many things to help your video production workflow.
The timeline is greatly improved and easier to use.
Here is how to export out of Daz3d into Iclone 5 and answers some facial animation questions

I purchased Iclone 6 and the 3Dxchange pipeline verson about a month ago. I can say that it supports the Genesis 2 figures and once I figured out not to save the FBX with subD information, it took about fifteen minutes to export the character from DAZ and set it up in Iclone 6. Setting up a Genesis 2 Male was painless --and I truly mean that. The bends are not as good on the figures as they would be in DAZ, but I figure that I can setup the scene, export it to iclone and animate it, then bring the motions back into DAZ to get the animations and bends properly done. If I want to take it a step further, my plan is to use the alembic export to something like Cinema 4d or Modo where I can add dynamic hair and other effects when needed.
When they incorporated Indigo RT render, that gave me a head's up to take a look at them. I looked at them back when I was researching Octane render and it's cool to know you can do something similar with it. I was a little down that the RT version doesn't include subsurface scattering, but I found out that you can use the full version of indigo if you purchase it. It's a hefty chunk of change but it does allow for network rendering as well as GPU assisted rendering.
I was going to wait to get it, but then I heard that they were partnering with Noitom Perception Legacy for MOCAP and that was all I needed. I've been wanting to do MOCAP for so long, but I wanted to get my hands into something more accurate than trying to use a Kinect. Not to mention that they incorporated Substance Designer, which is really exciting. I haven't gotten a chance to play with it as much as I would like, but it's shaping up as an application.
I am playing with the demo right now and watching the vid's on Youtube. I have to say, I am really impressed! Daz, I love your content and still love DS for doing still-work but iclone 6 is stealing my heart with their animation tools which includes collisions and I am loving those windy plants!! I may be making a purchase in April!!!
