Setting a standard Backdrop colour DS 4.7

This is what I have tried.

Open Environment pane>select Backdrop from drop-down>select colour>Visible in render is on>close pane>save scene as Backdrop Colour.

Edit>Preferences>Scene>On New Load File>select Backdrop Colour file>Accept.

When I open a new project the transparent backdrop is present in renders unless I set the backdrop colour again.

Grateful for advice.

Do what you did then with your new background color go to WindowWorkspace/Save Layout. Name and save your new layout. Then make sure your new layout is selected under WindowWorkspace/Select Layout. Should work. Hope that helps.

Many thanks for the response. As far as I am aware this applies only to the workspace background and not the image backdrop.
