Studio and the Internet.

Hi all.

Is there a way to keep DAZ Studio (any version, but especially3.0) from trying to access the internet repeatedly? I have it set to not check for updates, and have it blocked in my firewall, but it still hammers my system trying to access the Internet. I mean upon load-up I get 70,000 entries in Zone Alarm's log of Studio trying to get access. It's actually slowing the rest of my system down.

It tries to access 190.93.241.173:80, and neither tracert not Net.Demon can get to it, so I can't find out what that specific address is, but the destination is indeed www.daz3d.com.

Anyway, I'd like to stop if from beating my system up, so if anyone has an idea, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

..Joe

Studio does not access the internet, CMS that runs Smart Content needs to access a communication port to work so it will trigger warning in firewall software that is set to 'paranoid'. You need to tell your firewall to allow CMS to do its thing or delete CMS and not have Smart Content.

Thanks, but I'm not running Smart Content.- I don't think that's a component of Studio 3 Advanced.

But yes, it does access the internet. That's how it can tell when there's an update.

3.0 is DAZ studio 3 and that did have a store connection showing new products on old site.
I think it can be disabled in preferences as it no longer has anything to access so that would be the reason for continual trying

Thanks. Already had done that several years ago, but it still tries to get to daz3D.com

Attached is a view of my Zone Alarm Log from just now showing how hard it hammers the system.

What's the exact version? I know there were some versions of DS3 that did so, but I thought it was fixed. The final version of DS3 was 3.1.2.32
