is there a trick to rendering in cartoon shader mode.
because I can set it to cartoon but all it does is render is regular shader mode.
I took a snip-it of my screen showing the character in Cartoon shader mode . and a picture of the final render of the same character in cartoon mode.. its like the cartoon shader is not working..
I'm trying to do a anime render but with out cartoon shaders working, I can't make it anime style cartoons
any help?

Cartoon mode affects only the DAZ Default Shader - if the surfaces are using another shader you will need to change them to that, or to pwToon if you have it (or roll your own in Shader Mixer, of course).
Merged duplicate threads.
Thanks for the reply Richard,
I am using Daz default shaders that came with the a4 figure is even a toon shader. it still give me the regural shader value in the render.
so
I even even when i use g2f I A6 default shaders I get the same results i never had this issue before i updated to daz4.7
I'll try the shader mixer. I don't have PWtoon shaders, I never needed them before, if the shader mixer does not work maybe I'll just try to do in poser instead.
I looked up pw toon. I'll have to wait until that goes on sale.. but the good thing is I was able to achieve what i needed in Daz 3A I had to rebuild the scene back to.daz files format. but it rendered the toon shaders on a4 so I'll use that to do the comic book with.. thanks for the help Richard
The little ball pointed to in your screenshot does not affect the render. Setting it to "Cartoon" does not render with a toon shader just like setting it to "Wireframe" would not render as wireframe. To render with the toon shaders you have to set the "Render style" to "Cartoon" in the render settings (Render Settings->General->Style).

Thanks for the help .. But what you suggested does not show up as a option in daz 4.7 rendr settings
I took a snip-it of my render settings on general and advanced for you to see
Perhaps it is hidden. You can show hidden properties by clicking in the upper right in the render settings (the symbol below the X) and select "Show Hidden Properties".

That was my issue. I never even knew about that hidden properties tab was there in daz 3 its under edit >tab> properties render settings...lol
thank you very much for all your help,
this will be much easier to do in daz 4.7 than in daz 3 seeming i have the completed story done in daz4.7
