What is the plugin “Decimator” used for? As far as I know we are not allowed to use DAZ 3D-models in game engines such as Unity.

But the plugin „Decimator“ makes the models suitable for such engines.

Isn't there a contradiction?

Not if you have the game developers licence.: http://www.daz3d.com/indie-game-developer-license

But it can be useful for other things as well, like lo poly figures for large scenes for example
