usual program glitch - and Texture mapping

Ok on several consecutive mornings now... all my open programs, sitting in the tray and not being used (tho with projects open)... closed themselves. Every other morning now I get up, excited to see how much has been rendered only to find Bryce has closed itself, again. What the hell is forcing programs to close? Further, on one occasion my pc shut down due to a power out....I reboot and lo and behold Bryce Reopened Itself and continued rendering!! Something seems to be beyond normal here. Those same programs can be open All Day (plus some), but over night they for some reason close.

Anyway, years ago I made a mask for Mike. Now this was an older version where within studio you could tweak his face Surface Completely White. You know, that full (inhuman) white. But now I'm trying same with Vic4, which due to the enhanced textures, can no longer be tweaked Fully white. The remedy is obvious but thought I'd ask. I can fully whiten the map in a paint program. But I also tweaked her face white with the slider which just gives her default skin color tho a bit lighter.

What I want to do is make a black mask, where the skin itself is whited by so called corpse, or face paint. Just looking for maybe a tip I haven't thought of.... I'm wondering how the effect would be by just spraying the whole face white then drawing the black mask over that.

I'm not clear, are you wanting no-texture white or a textured white with some details? For the former, just remove the maps and adjust the base colours.

One reason I asked. If I remove the default face Map... I can still make the model's Face white; which still has all basic facial features? I'm not sure yet the exact effect I need.

I am going to make a mask that's akin to what a black metal band member might have painted on their face. I already did this with an older version of Mike, which is all kaput now on a dead hard drive. I'm going to guess that using Vic's default, textured face map will impart a rather different effect; in the glare of certain lighting. This is trial and error but thought I'd field the question.

You can take the map off and tweak white but it's nothing like what Mike did. The face looks like a, flare. But I was wondering if there were the other type maps for Vic4. The maps with the lines... These current maps don't have any contour lines.

Thank you. Do I simply paint over that then save as jpeg? Seems obvious but.
