Hi,
Since there are quite a lot of pirate content on daz3d, can someone help me find the pirate era town and city? Like between the 1650s and the 1730s.
I'm also looking for interior scene (not on the ship) of the town during this era.
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Minh

It's 3Delight only, though. Not sure how well the texture maps will hold up for a product that's a decade old.
You could probably kitbash something yourself with Faveral's medieval village sets and one of PW Production's big island environments.
Or, if you want to take the plunge, Kitbash3D has a pirate city set for $200. It takes a bit of work converting the materials over, but once you do they look great.
or wait for this

Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion. May I ask, how much work I have to do to make Kitbash3D's set look good ? Can you link me to the discussion about this, or just give me general ideas about the converting process?
Thank you.
Best regrads,

Hi,
I think it looks quite modern? I'm looking for a set that resembles the look of the movie "Pirate of the Caribbean" so I think this looks too modern.
But otherwises it is really nice.
Thank you very much.

That depends on how well you know Blender and Daz Studio.
If you know what you're doing, you can get it done in maybe an hour or two. But if you're not familiar with .obj import/export settings and how materials work, you could spend a day on it and then learn you just shot yourself in the foot at the beginning.
Some tips:
for what it is worth, using PotC as your reference for authenticity is not as accurate as historical drawings, paintings etc because it is a modern movie and those are heavily embellished, romanticised etc.
Honestly Assassin's Creed Black Flag is probably more authentic as Ubisoft pride themselves on that sort of thing so much so that when the Notre Dame burnt their Unity game model was referenced for some of the restoration plans.
I Still love the very old Tortuga Set at Rendo : https://www.renderosity.com/rr/mod/bcs/tortuga-port-of-pirates/69397/
It reminds me very much of the Pirates Movies or the original houses in the nice old Disney Ride.
Hi,
Good to know that. I've always thought PotC is historically accurate. However, my aim is just to replicate the look of that movie particularly, not for authenticity. I just love the look :D.
Thanks for the info.
